What is BPC-157?
BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic 15-amino-acid peptide derived from a sequence found in a protective gastric-juice protein. In research literature it has been studied in animal models for its possible role in the repair of tissues, tendons, and the digestive mucosa.
Important: This peptide is not FDA approved for human use. The information on this page summarizes what is reported in research and is offered for educational purposes. It is not medical advice or a usage indication.
What the research says
Available studies are mostly preclinical (animal models and in-vitro work). Effects on angiogenesis and cell migration in repair contexts have been described. Human evidence is limited.
Proposed mechanism
Research suggests a possible interaction with vascular-growth pathways (angiogenesis) and modulation of repair factors. The exact mechanisms in humans are not established.
